Neurognostics’ fMRI Data Acquisition Device (fDAD™) eliminates the need for an organization to assemble, test, and maintain its own functional MRI equipment, and includes all of the components required to reliably acquire fMRI data.

fMRI Acquisition Hardware

 

(fDAD™) consists of three main hardware components; an advanced stimulus delivery system, a response collection system, and an integrated control station.

Depending on the selected fMRI paradigm, stimulus can be delivered either visually or auditorially to activate brain function. fDAD™ comes equipped with either a goggle or projector system for visual stimulation, and can integrate with a site's existing high-grade headphones for audio stimulation.

Neurognostics' response collection system tracks each patient's fMRI responses in real-time using a custom-engineered, 5-button response pad that works in conjunction with our fMRI Workflow Software. Using this response pad, our Workflow Software functions independently to verify patient interaction by collecting and storing each exam's responses.

The heart of Neurognostics' fMRI Data Acquisition Device is an integrated control station. This control station comes pre-installed with all software applications (Workflow Software, Stimulation Paradigm Library) and seamlessly integrates each fMRI hardware device. Due to room constraints, a minimized footprint option can be offered so as not to disturb current workflow requirements.

Through flexible system architecture, our data acquisition system can support a wide range of existing fMRI hardware and operates in conjunction with 1.5T and 3T field strength MRI scanners.
 

Installation and Training

Ensuring a site's ideal conversion to fMRI, highly trained Neurognostics engineers perform all on-site hardware and software installation services. After installation has been completed, our engineers train a facility's MRI staff to use our fMRI Workflow Software and data acquisition hardware, which ensures consistent patient throughput.

Neurognostics prides itself on providing unsurpassed customer service. We offer each of our customer sites a continued maintenance and support program with an on-call helpdesk and fMRI system maintenance assistance.

Application Workflow Software

The Neurognostics’ fDAD™ product suite optimizes MRI workflow by utilizing an easy-to-use fMRI Workflow Software. Our Workflow Software guides MRI technicians with varying fMRI backgrounds through a step-by-step process to complete an fMRI examination. This exam standardization yields both reliable and repeatable results, and enables a facility to easily acquire and archive fMRI data.

Stimulation Paradigm Library

By incorporating our extensive library of fMRI Stimulation Paradigms, Neurognostics' fMRI system allows physicians to probe a variety of cognitive and sensorimotor processes in the brain.
